A lot of you have been asking about our Kyoto Rental & Photography package we did in Japan so here’s what you need to know!
We booked our package directly off of Klook. The studio we picked is called Ouka Kimono Kyoto. Quite honestly we thought this studio was a bit far out compare to a lot of other kimono rental spots. Especially when you are wearing the traditional kimono sandals.. they are VERY slippery and tough to walk in! I was actually in a lot of pain just walking in them, so I suggest wearing your own shoes and just switching into the sandals when you are actually taking photos!
For the Kimono rental package for a couple, it costs $50.95 USD & we also added the photography package for $94.09 USD. I recently did check their packages on Klook and it seems like they raised the price, so keep that in mind! Also FYI, The studio we picked also relied heavily on mandarin speaking staff and only knew very minimal english so it may be difficult to communicate. Thank goodness I can speak and understand mandarin but my boyfriend didn’t understand a word and required me to do translations.
I suggest looking around different rental studios. There were a lot of options on the strip and they were a lot closer to the temples BUT it may cost a little bit more! I will put the link of the studio we went to but I suggest browsing around first. One thing I did love about this studio was our photographer! He guided us to the BEST spots for photos and was VERY patient while we took our time with our photoshoot. All our photos turned out amazing and I received every single photo by the end of the night!
